Make It From Your Heart

Today we will show you how to Make It From Your Heart!  Jeanette Lynton has created a brand NEW “how-to” program to not only guide you but also inspire you to create beautiful artwork.   This amazing publication has so many different pattern blueprints that you can interpret in ANY WAY you want!

Through our blog hop, we hope to inspire you to use your own artistic instincts to interpret and create your own artwork.  Each of our crafty consultants has chosen a different page of this book to create two projects for you – that’s right two projects with the SAME pattern!  One project will follow the blueprint pattern as laid out.  The second project will use the pattern “with a twist”  to show you how versatile the patterns are.

We are having a giveaway – that’s right blog candy for you hoppers!  Lucy of Love 2 Create will be giving away a copy of the Make It From Your Heart – Volume 1.  All you have to do to be eligible to win is to leave a comment on each blog.

If you just happened to come to this blog, you should begin your hop at the beginning at Lucy's blog - http://www.love2createitall.com.

If you came from Maria's, Maria's Paper Craft Place blog, you’re in the right place!

My project is ... This card I made using Make It From Your Heart page 45 pattern 25.

I have been a little bit of a Halloween mood, so I used the Moonlight workshop on the go kit. I cut the papers all according to the drawings on pg 45. I stamped the mummy in White Daisy ink, as well as the saying Happy Hauntings. There are 4 bling, one on each corner of the smaller black paper in the middle. For my second project, I created a 1 page layout.

This layout is also made with Moonlight paper. The lighter base page is 12x12, the purple pattern paper was cut to 11 1/2 x 11 1/2, the
grey was cut to 6 1/4 x 11. The bottom corner has 3 flowers that were cut from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge, as well as a couple pieces of bling from the Sparkle Flourishes pack.I used Moonlight because I wanted to show that this paper could be used for any type of pictures. These pictures are of My oldest daughter Sidney when she was 10 months old. She is now 7! How time flies!

Supply List:
White Daisy Ink Z2163
Moonlight WOTG G1051

Star

Today I have for you another project that I finished while at the coast with my friends.
This chipboard start is a new CTMH product. It comes white, and it has a hole
in the back to hang it on the wall. When I first saw it at Convention, I thought that
it looked a little country, and the new Dakota paper pack was a perfect fit.

I had trouble printing a template, so I got a piece of printer paper, and traced
one of the points of the star to make a template. Once I got all of the paper marked
and cut out, I sanded the edges to distress them a little, then used my tombow
adhesive to adhere the paper to the star, using a little liquid glass at the tips.

I then inked the high points of the star with Pacifica Ink, to help blend the tops of the star "arms"
(not sure what else to call them).I decided that I needed something in the valley's of the "arms", so I twisted
white and chocolate waxy flax to make them look like rope, and glued them down with liquid glass.
To finish the look, I found a blue button in my stash of retired CTMH stuff, and threaded it with the twisted
waxy flax and tied it in a bow. I glued that down with liquid glass as well.

I thought it could use a little something else, so I randomly placed bitty sparkles on the "arms" to bling
it up a little.

Project Supplies:
Z1803 My Creations Star
Z1088 Chocolate Waxy Flax
Z1081 Colonial White Waxy Flax (white  was used but is retired, but colonial white would work as well)
Z1371 Blue Button Assortment
Z679 Liquid glass
X7157B Dakota Paper Pack
Z2192 Pacifica Ink pad

Thank you so much for stopping by!

"TAKE A WALK IN THE MOONLIGHT"

Thank you for joining us on our “Take a Walk in the Moonlight” Blog Hop.  We have a fabulous path for you to follow as you take your walk in the moonlight with us as we feature Close to My Heart’s Moonlight paper pack.

If you just happened to come to this blog, you should begin your walk at the  beginning at Lucy's blog - http://www.love2createitall.com

The next stop on your moonlight walk is Back at the beginning with Lucy. You are at the last stop on this hop!

My project is....

For my project, I chose a card. I had been wandering around pinterest, and I saw a card using the dahlia fold. I needed a card for my team card swap, and I thought that this was perfect! The backround paper is from the Dakota paper pack, the card base is CTMH craft paper, cut to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. I used CTMH burlap ribbon to wrap around the back round paper. There are 8 petals glued to a smaller circle, then that is glued to the burlap ribbon using double sided tape. The center of the flower has a clear button, a tan button and a little bling, all CTMH.

Project supply list...
Z1375 Kraft Cardstock
X7157 Dakota Paper Packet
X7161B Moonlight Paper Packet (used for the flower)
Z1391 Clear buttons
Z1358 Basic Assortment buttons
Z1760 Burlap Ribbon

Halloween Wreath

I have wanted to make a wreath for a long time, and I finally got one finished  during my crafty weekend at the beach with my girlfriends. I had intended for this wreath to be for a Halloween blog hop, but I did not realize how much paper I was going to need! I will tell you that I used quite a bit of paper. The paper I used is from CTMH and the colors are Black, Smokey Plum and Autumn Terracotta. The Spider web is made from CTMH black hemp, and was the idea of my friend Kim Millard. (Thanks Kim, for the idea and for the hemp!) The spiders were purchased from my local grocery/variety store from the Halloween section, and the ribbon was purchased today from the local scrapbook store here in Seaside, Oregon. The foam wreath was a purchase from my Michaels store in the floral section, and it is 12 inches.

The flowers were cut using my CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge. The flower can be found on page 70, and was cut at 3 inches. ( font<tag5>) The flowers were rolled and glued together with  hot glue gun, and then hot glued to the foam wreath (careful! the glue gun can get hot!) I then hot glued the bow and the ribbon to hang it with, along with a black spider at the bow, and the green one on the right side. the web was hot glued to the foam in a star pattern, then I just wrapped hemp around the star to make the web, adhering the hemp with liquid glass.

Project Supply list:
1386: Black Card stock
1270: Autumn Terracotta Card stock
1291: Smokey Plum Card stock
Z679: Liquid glass
Z282: Black hemp
Z1686: Art Philosophy collection
Wreath: Michaels
Ribbon: Local craft store.

I hope you enjoy this wreath as much as I enjoyed making it.

Have a Happy Halloween!
