Bloom with Grace

For today's Workshop, I want to focus on a workshop that is currently available until the end of October. Today I am featuring the Bloom with Grace kit.

This kit is perfect for your fall photos! It's a little bit country, a little bit southwest, giving you lots of options! This paper suite is also available in a card kit. The great thing about this kit is the large sticker sheets, so no fussy cutting! There is also a Bloom with Grace stamp + thin cut available so you can add your own embellishments, or make additional layouts or cards with the leftover paper scraps! This collection also coordinates With the Bloom with Grace Cricut collection, which can be purchased through my affiliate link
Now, when I cut my kit, I went a little rogue. Instead of using the full sunflower sheet for the last layout, I used a piece of cardstock as the base, then I cut the flower sheet to fit the empty space, giving me most of the flower sheet to use as extra!

There are a ton of things you can do with the extras. You can make cards, or there is even enough for another layout! What did you make with your scraps? Let me know in the comments! I will show what I made with the scraps in another post.

If you would like to order your own kit, It comes with all of the paper you need, plus instructions with color pictures. If you would like to build the kit exactly as shown, you will also need Espresso ink and the Bloom with Grace stamp set and thin cut. You can order your kit HERE.

Anything goes with the Artiste

Welcome to our "Anything Goes with the Artiste" Blog Hop where we are showcasing  the exclusive Artiste Cricut cartridge which can be purchased exclusively through a Close to My Heart Independent Consultant. This will be our last Artiste blog hop for 2012.

Our "theme" for this hop was to create anything we wanted with the Artiste Cricut cartridge. And honestly, you can pretty much create anything and everything with the Artiste so this was not a difficult thing to do.

If you just happened to come to this blog, you should start at the beginning at Lucy's blog - Love 2 Create

If you came here from "Penny's" blog, It Makes Total cents, then you're in the right place!

 My project is ...

A set of coasters! I was trying to think of a project to make that could be used as a last minute Christmas gift, when it dawned on me.. My friend Katt makes trivets using her cricut and 12x12 floor tiles.... I don't have vinyl, but I have paper and 4x4 tiles that I had purchased for some long ago project. Here is a picture of the supplies that I used for my project. The only thing missing in the pic is the foam brush and the paper I used. I chose a Mod Podge that is for tile, wood and other objects that could be used for furniture. Oh, I almost forgot the felt dots! I used these on the bottom for the feet so the tiles don't sit directly on the table and scratch it. For the image on my tile, I decided on the suits from a deck of cards. These were cut out at 3 1/2, and they can be found on page 49 in the cutting booklet.

After cutting out the images, I inked them using a sponge dauber and White Daisy ink. To glue them to to tiles, I used my foam sponge to put some Mod Podge on the back of the paper, and then placed the paper on the tile. MAKE SURE that when you do this, you get the paper where you want it. It won't move once it's placed. These have to dry for a couple of hours before I can add a top coat to the tiles to make them waterproof.

My supplies:

Mod Podge (can be found at your local craft store. I got mine at Walmart)

4x4 tiles (can be found at your local Lowe's, Home Depot in the flooring dept. Mine are unglazed tiles)
Felt circles (Also found at Lowe's and Home Depot. At Lowe's they are in the Hardware Dept.)
Red card stock
Black Card stock
Sponge daubers
White Daisy ink
Artiste Cricut Cartridge

I am the last stop on this hop.
