The Everything ABC's blog hop letter "H"

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter H. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their H element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Amber's blog ~ Scrapper's Therapy

If you came from Shelly ~ Just One Piece then you're on the right track!

For my project for the letter "H" I chose the word Hero. This is a photo of my father taken in September
2008, at Crater Lake, Oregon. My father was a hero to me, even though I don't think realized it. My father chose to leave us to early, but he will always be my hero. This is the 1st time since he has passed that I have been able to create any kind of project with a picture of him in it. I apologize for the reflection of my head in the glass :). The frame is from either Michaels or the Dollar store, I can't remember which. The paper is from the Victory paper pack from ctmh (retired) the sparkles flourishes (Z1708) frame opposite corners of each other, and the ribbon is ctmh (retired). Also used, Durables artisan studs (Z1816). For the flowers, I cut them on the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge at 1 1/2,  2  1/4, and 3.

Welcome to our March Art Philosophy/Artiste Blog Hop! As you know, both the Artiste and the Art Philosophy cartridges are available exclusively through a Close to My Heart consultant. If you don't already have a Consultant that you are currently working with, please contact one the Consultants in our hop with any questions you have!

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Lucy's blog – Love 2 Create  If you came from Lucy's blog – Love 2 Create then you are in the right place!

Our challenge this month features not only one of these amazing cartridges but also a "BINGO" card!

Here is the BINGO card that our Consultants were given:

The Consultants were told they could make anything they wanted using the Artiste OR Art Philosophy cartridge AND you work off the BINGO card posted above. Basically, you make a "BINGO" by going across, down, or diagonally and you have to use everything in that bingo line.

For my project, I chose Ribbon, 3D and Stitching. I will have to say the stitching was pretty hard for
me. I am not a seamstress, nor do I hand stitch very well, but I decided that I needed to step out side of my comfort zone. I have been practicing sewing a little using paper, so I thought I would use my sewing machine to stitch on my project. I chose the purse 3D object from the Artiste cartridge (pg41). I used Sky card stock, and I cut the purse at 5 inches. I used  brown thread that was already in my machine, I am not sure of the maker. I used some retired  chocolate brown ribbon from my stash to create the bow, and I used a rhinestone brad for the bling on the strap. My sewing on this little purse is not great, but I decided to post it anyway in hopes that some one might give it a try. I actually sewed this all the way around the edges, then folded it and adhered the flaps together.
