For my card, I used Saddle card stock. I cut the card using Art Philosophy cricut cartridge, page 26. To cut the card, make sure to choose the card button, then the button for this card is in the top row of the over lay with the heart on it.  I cut the card at 5 1/2, and stamped the sentiment in White Daisy pigment ink. I then added bitty sparkles around the edge of the cut out, as well as on the i in birthday, and the exclamation point. The Happy Birthday was stamped using the Part stamp set that comes with the Art Philosophy collection. I also used a sponge dauber to ink the edges of the card in White Daisy ink.

Supply list:

Saddle card stock:   X5928
White Daisy ink:     Z2163

I made a card using buttons! I stamped the stems using stamp set C1441 Affection, in Topiary ink.
I used buttons on various colors for the flowers, using bakers twine for the centers. For the sentiment, I used stamp set D1283 Say It In Style, and stamped it using hollyhock ink. I used liquid glass to glue down my buttons, just to make sure they stayed down.

I used the stamp set from the Whoo's your valentine special from Close To My Heart. Don't you just love this owl?? The stamp set has 22 stamps in it, plus the kit makes cute valentine gifts! To see the special, please click here.

For the hearts, I used Ruby ink from Close To My Heart, and for the owl and Let's be mine were stamped in Black from Close To My Heart. To finish this simple card, I used sparkles for the owl's eyes. I hope you enjoy this card! Thank you for stopping by!

Happy Valentine's Day

Welcome to our January Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! We are starting a new year of blog hops for you all featuring Close to My Heart's Stamp of the Month.

This month Close to My Heart is offering a stamp set called "Happy Valentine's" throughout the month of January. This versatile set can be purchased exclusively through a Close to My Heart Independent Consultant for only $5 with a qualifying purchase of $50. (That’s a $17.95 value!)

This set is just so pretty and has 4 different sentiments included!

In this hop, you will see projects featuring this beautiful stamp set from many talented crafty ladies! Enjoy our blog hop!

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Lucy's blog – Love 2 Create

If you came from Priscilla ~ Priscilla's Paperie then you are in the right place!

For my project, I wanted to do something a little different with this stamp set than say, a card or a layout. I remembered some of my crafty friends had made boxes and put candy in them, and I thought perfect! I decided on the largest flower in the set to be my main image, and after that all I needed to do was decide on the box size. This box was cut from the Artiste cricut cartridge, page 49. To make the base, use 3D object and the letter o, and to make the lid, use shift 3D object and the letter O. The box is cut at 5 3/4 for both pieces.

I stamped the flower stamp in my white daisy pigment ink. I stamped the Happy Valentine's day using smokey plum pigment ink, which can be found in the mini pigments pads set, enchantment. I then decided that my box could use a little bling, so I got out my sparkles flourishes. The sparkles were a little too big, so I cut them to the size I needed. I used seam binding ribbon for my bow.

This box is large enough to hold 20 of the candies you see. I was not sure what size to cut it at, so I messaged my friend Bonnie Donaghy to see how big she made her boxes at Christmas. She cut hers at 4 inches and 8 candies will fit in the box. This box would also be great for notes, cards, or other small gifts.

The Everything ABC's Blog Hop Letter A

Welcome to our very first Everything ABC's Blog Hop! This will be the first of many throughout the year so make sure to check out what we have new for you about every two weeks. Happy New Year and Happy Hopping!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter A. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their A element will be featured in their post.

If you came from Amber La Mons ~  Scrapper's Therapy then you're on the right track!

I made this cute little book using one sheet of Avonlea paper! I was cruising youtube for some inspiration, and I came across a video
on how to make a little booklet. The video and the booklet were made by CreationsbyChristie. You can watch the video here.

This is so easy to make, you could make a ton of them.

I would give you step by step instructions on how to make this cute album, but the video does such a great job.

These would be great as party favors, gift cards, a project to make with kids, teacher gifts... they would be great for little notes too.

I used Avonlea Paper X7155B
Chocolate Ribbbon Z1617
Sparkles Z1263
Just Blooms Z1709 (this item is retiring. If you would like to purchase it, you wil need to do this by 01/31/2013)
Liquid glass Z679 (to glue down the ribbon)
