The Everything's ABC's blog hop letter "E"

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter E. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their E element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Amber's blog ~ Scrapper's Therapy

If you came from " Lucy ~ Love 2 Create"  then you're on the right track!

For my "E" I chose Embossing. I cut my card base out of slate card stock, 41/4 x 5 1/2. I think inked the edges with the pigment ink Indian corn blue using a sponge dauber. I cut the hexagon from white daisy card stock at 1.2 inches,  using the cricut cartridge Accent Essentials. I stamped the hexagons using the Honeycomb stamp set, using the mini pigment inks. While the ink was still wet, I sprinkled the hexagons with startdust transparent embossing powder, which when heated  left my hexagons sparkley. The sentiment was stamped using the Indian corn blue, and the sentiment is from the Fabulous you stamp set. I then placed bitty sparkles all over to give the card more sparkle.

Supply list:
Honeycomb stamp set C1537
Sponge daubers           Z726
Slate card stock           X5930
Fabulous you              C1533
Bitty sparkles             Z1263

Everything's ABC blog hop letter D

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter D. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their D element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Amber's blog ~ Scrapper's Therapy

If you came from "Lucy" of Love 2 Create, then you are on the right track!

For letter "D", I had such a had time figuring out what to do. I finally went to my Artiste cricut cartridge, found the letter D, and decided to make a project using that letter. This card is under letter D ( card "D") and was cut at 3 1/2 using desert sand card stock. I distressed the edged with black ink using a ctmh sponge dauber. The floral paper is from the new paper pack "For Always", and this sheet just happens to have desert sand mixed in with the black and white. This piece of paper was cut at 2 3/4 x 3 3/4. I stamped Happy Birthday using CTMH detail clear embossing powder. I then took my sponge dauber, inked it with black, and swirled it over the embossed image so the image would be visible.

Supplies:
Artiste cricut cartridge (z1790)
Desert sand card stock (1273)
For Always paper pack (x7165b)
Detail clear embossing powder (z821)
Black ink (z2105)
sponge dauber (z726)

For my card, I used Saddle card stock. I cut the card using Art Philosophy cricut cartridge, page 26. To cut the card, make sure to choose the card button, then the button for this card is in the top row of the over lay with the heart on it.  I cut the card at 5 1/2, and stamped the sentiment in White Daisy pigment ink. I then added bitty sparkles around the edge of the cut out, as well as on the i in birthday, and the exclamation point. The Happy Birthday was stamped using the Part stamp set that comes with the Art Philosophy collection. I also used a sponge dauber to ink the edges of the card in White Daisy ink.

Supply list:

Saddle card stock:   X5928
White Daisy ink:     Z2163
Bitty Sparkles         Z1263

Anything goes with the Artiste

Welcome to our "Anything Goes with the Artiste" Blog Hop where we are showcasing  the exclusive Artiste Cricut cartridge which can be purchased exclusively through a Close to My Heart Independent Consultant. This will be our last Artiste blog hop for 2012.

Our "theme" for this hop was to create anything we wanted with the Artiste Cricut cartridge. And honestly, you can pretty much create anything and everything with the Artiste so this was not a difficult thing to do.

If you just happened to come to this blog, you should start at the beginning at Lucy's blog - Love 2 Create

If you came here from "Penny's" blog, It Makes Total cents, then you're in the right place!

 My project is ...

A set of coasters! I was trying to think of a project to make that could be used as a last minute Christmas gift, when it dawned on me.. My friend Katt makes trivets using her cricut and 12x12 floor tiles.... I don't have vinyl, but I have paper and 4x4 tiles that I had purchased for some long ago project. Here is a picture of the supplies that I used for my project. The only thing missing in the pic is the foam brush and the paper I used. I chose a Mod Podge that is for tile, wood and other objects that could be used for furniture. Oh, I almost forgot the felt dots! I used these on the bottom for the feet so the tiles don't sit directly on the table and scratch it. For the image on my tile, I decided on the suits from a deck of cards. These were cut out at 3 1/2, and they can be found on page 49 in the cutting booklet.

After cutting out the images, I inked them using a sponge dauber and White Daisy ink. To glue them to to tiles, I used my foam sponge to put some Mod Podge on the back of the paper, and then placed the paper on the tile. MAKE SURE that when you do this, you get the paper where you want it. It won't move once it's placed. These have to dry for a couple of hours before I can add a top coat to the tiles to make them waterproof.

My supplies:

Mod Podge (can be found at your local craft store. I got mine at Walmart)

4x4 tiles (can be found at your local Lowe's, Home Depot in the flooring dept. Mine are unglazed tiles)
Felt circles (Also found at Lowe's and Home Depot. At Lowe's they are in the Hardware Dept.)
Red card stock
Black Card stock
Sponge daubers
White Daisy ink
Artiste Cricut Cartridge

I am the last stop on this hop.
