Independence Day

For the everything's ABC's hop click HERE

What ?!?!? Hope you weren't expecting to see Will Smith fighting the aliens here! We are actually featuring crafty creations showcasing "Independence Day" ... the holiday!

Not only are all of our creations going to be about Independence Day ... the holiday ... but they will also be using the Artiste and/or Art Philosophy Cricut cartridges available
through a Close to My Heart consultant. If you don't already have a Consultant that you are currently working with, please contact one of the Consultants in our hop with any questions you have!

In this hop, you will see projects featuring this versatile cartridges from many talented crafty ladies! Enjoy our blog hop!

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Lucy's blog – Love 2 Create . If you came from "Lucy ~ Love 2Create" then you are in the right place!

My Cricut cut is the star, cut from the cricut cartridge Art Philosophy. The star is the negative piece from the card that can be found on the letter "L". I used 3D foam tape to pop up the star, and I used the home of the brave stamp set.  (which is on special this month. You can find info on it here.). My daughter Alayna who is 4, helped choose the colors for the card. I asked her what color we should stamp the Statue Of Liberty in, and she chose lagoon. She has never actually seen the Statue Of Liberty, so it was kind of funny that she chose a color that resembles it. The flag pole is stamped in black, and my daughter Sidney chose the cranberry for the stars, and outdoor denim for the words. I had fun making this card with my daughters.

Your next stop on our Independence Day hop is "Michelle" of " My Flights of Fancy ".

The Everythings's ABC's letter "L"

For the Art Philosophy/Artiste hop click HERE. (This hop starts at 6am)

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter L. This may be the name
of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has
chosen as their L element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Theo's blog~ Celebrate Crafts

My "L" project comes from the Art Philosophy cartridge. I decided to cut the card that is found on this letter. I cut the card using paper from the Claire paper pack. I decided not to use cardstock, but instead chose one of the patterned  papers for my card. I cut the card at 4". I am using the star that is in the center of the card for another project.

I decided to "bling" up my star with sparkles, to give it a little shine. I stamped on the inside a quote from the stamp set: Scrapbook Statements~Women.  The quote is from Dolly Parton, and it says: "If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain".

is "A Flowering Bunch" and is available exclusively through your Close to My Heart consultant from June 1 - 30, 2013. You can purchase this stamp set for only $5 with a qualifying purchase.

If you came from Amber ~ Scrapper's Therapy then you are in the right place!

I stamped Thanks a Bunch in the center, then I loaded by block with the smaller flowers, and random stamped all over the card. I then used my color pens to color in the flowers, glued a butterfly from the Trinkets wooded shapes, and found some buttons from my stash for the centers. I used brown bakers's twine for the center of the buttons on the large flowers.

of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has

chosen as their K element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Amber's blog ~ Scrapper's Therapy

If you came from Shelly Nemitz - Just One Piece  then you're on the right track!

For my "K" project, I made these cute gift bags from Kraft paper sacks. They are going to be gift bags for my team mates going to the CTMH convention at the end of this month. I covered one side with black card stock. The bow is cut from one of the Disney cricut carts, as are the shoes. I used glitter glitz around the bow to give it some sparkle. I will be adding more to the bag, but I don't want to give too much away, just in case anyone on the team sees this....
