My "I" item is ink... in this case, three different colors. The card edges are inked in Indian corn blue, as well as both sentiments. The hot air balloon is inked using a rolling technique (place stamp on block, roll the edge of the stamp in one color, roll the center of the stamp in a 2nd color, and roll the other edge in the 3rd. I used Indian corn blue, Gypsy and Sky) The grey is CTMH, but I am unsure of which color. I wrapped baker's twine around the bottom and just tied it on. All items are from Close To My Heart, and are current.

Sorry this is not the greatest picture, but I am having trouble accessing my pictures from the photo
editing program I use.

Here is the complete lineup in case you get lost along the way:

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Lucy's blog – Love 2 Create  If you came from " Lucy's blog" – Love 2 Create then you are in the right place!

Our challenge this month features not only one of these amazing cartridges but we also have a Mother's Day theme since Mother's Day is less than a month away. Have you started your Mother's Day projects yet?

My project is this canvas scrapbook "page". I got the canvas at a scrapbook store a few years ago. It is 12x12, and it came with hanging hardware. I used Art philosophy to cut the back round (10 3/4), and Artiste to cut the flowers. The flowers range in size from 1 1/2 to 3 1/2. The colors of the flowers are black,
lagoon and ruby card stock. The letters are glitter "thickers" stickers which I apparently applied crooked :-)
The other elements are rub ons from my stash, and in the center of the rub ons are sparkles. I plan to put
a photo of each of my girls on here, but I have not quite decided which photo, or if I am going to use one photo with both of them in it. I hope you enjoy my project, and that it will inspire you to create a Mother's
Day gift for your loved one.

For my project for the letter "H" I chose the word Hero. This is a photo of my father taken in September
2008, at Crater Lake, Oregon. My father was a hero to me, even though I don't think realized it. My father chose to leave us to early, but he will always be my hero. This is the 1st time since he has passed that I have been able to create any kind of project with a picture of him in it. I apologize for the reflection of my head in the glass :). The frame is from either Michaels or the Dollar store, I can't remember which. The paper is from the Victory paper pack from ctmh (retired) the sparkles flourishes (Z1708) frame opposite corners of each other, and the ribbon is ctmh (retired). Also used, Durables artisan studs (Z1816). For the flowers, I cut them on the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge at 1 1/2,  2  1/4, and 3.

My Sunshine

Welcome to our April Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! This month's stamp from Close to My Heart is "My Sunshine" and is available exclusively through your Close to My Heart consultant from April 1 - 30, 2013. You can purchase this stamp set for only $5 with a qualifying purchase.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Lucy's blog – Love 2 Create  If you came from  Jennifer of  4 Hearts Scrapbooking then you are in the right place!

For my project, I got my inspiration from the site splitcoast stampers. The technique
I used is called "bargello" and you can find a link for it HERE. For
my card, I decided to use the Chantilly paper pack. I thought that the
theme of the stamp set went well with the paper.

Select your patterned paper, and cut it a 3/4" x 6. Once you have done that, line them up on your 5x6 cut it a 3/4" x 6. Once you have done that, line them up on your 5x6 piece of card
stock in a pattern that you like, and adhere them down. Then cut pieces at 1/2"
    and 5/8".

     Adhere these to a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of card stock, in a staggered manner,
creating a pattern. Adhere the strips. Trim the edges that may be over hanging,
then trim the whole thing down to 4 x 5 1/2.

For the bird, I stamp it in Twilight, and fussy (hand) cut him out. I could have used
my Artiste cartridge (pg 51, cut @ 1 1/2) to cut him out, but I wanted his wing left in.
For the sun, I cut it on the Artiste cart @ 3 1/2 inches. I stamped the sun in Sunny Yellow (retired)
and glued ot to the base. The white rectangle is cut at 2 1/2 x 3 3/4, and is popped up. The sun center
is also stamped in Sunny yellow. You're tweet is stamped in Twilight.
