What I have made is this card box. I got the idea from Pinterest. This is a rough draft of my project, but I wanted to show it to you all anyway. The base if the box is made using one sheet of 12x12 gray card stock. The inside pockets are made using the patterned paper from the For Always paper packet. On the front of the box, I cut the flourishes at 2 1/4 inches  in Ruby card stock using the Artiste cartridge. This image is found under the number 2 and the accent 4 button. The word cards was also
cut using Artiste in black card stock, cut at 1". The flowers on the bottom left corner were cut using Art Philosophy, using one of the floral sheets. 2 of the flowers were cut at 1 3/4 using font <tag5>, and the larger flower was cut using the paper with the writing in it, cut at 2 3/4 using font <tag5>. I embellished the lid with the strip that I cut from the edge of the b&t, and I placed a bit of bling every few spaces or so. I also placed a bit of bling inside of the flowers too.

The inside of the box has a pen holder, a place to hold stamps, post it notes, and spaces for cards. I have not yet designed the cards for the inside of this box. Stay tuned for that!  I also embossed the black piece of card stock using the cuttlebug. I do not know the name of the embossing folder. I have had it forever.

Everything's ABC blog hop letter D

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter D. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their D element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Amber's blog ~ Scrapper's Therapy

If you came from "Lucy" of Love 2 Create, then you are on the right track!

For letter "D", I had such a had time figuring out what to do. I finally went to my Artiste cricut cartridge, found the letter D, and decided to make a project using that letter. This card is under letter D ( card "D") and was cut at 3 1/2 using desert sand card stock. I distressed the edged with black ink using a ctmh sponge dauber. The floral paper is from the new paper pack "For Always", and this sheet just happens to have desert sand mixed in with the black and white. This piece of paper was cut at 2 3/4 x 3 3/4. I stamped Happy Birthday using CTMH detail clear embossing powder. I then took my sponge dauber, inked it with black, and swirled it over the embossed image so the image would be visible.

Supplies:
Artiste cricut cartridge (z1790)
Desert sand card stock (1273)
For Always paper pack (x7165b)
Detail clear embossing powder (z821)
Black ink (z2105)
sponge dauber (z726)

February SOTM "Home sweet home"

Welcome to our February Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! This month's stamp set from Close to My Heart is "Home Sweet Home" and is available exclusively through your Close to My Heart consultant from February 1 - 28, 2013. You can purchase this stamp set for only $5 with a qualifying purchase.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Lucy's blog – Love 2 Create

If you came from Priscilla of  Priscilla's Paperie  then you are in the right place!

For my project, I decided to make this "Home Sweet Home" wall decoration. I found a 4x6 wood frame from the goodwill that was unpainted for .99 cents. What a deal! I found some craft paint that I had purchased ages ago, that can be used to paint wood, terracotta, and other outside items. This color is barn red. I stamped the sentiment with Stazon ink onto cashmere card stock. You can't see it, but I added a few small pieces of bling on the swirlies.  I made a flower out of burlap ribbon. This was not my design, I found a video on you tube by a sister consultant. You can watch the video HERE. I then added a button threaded with some of the burlap strings that I had pulled out of the ribbon when I made the flower. To adhere the flower, I hot glued it to the frame. I then hot glued the burlap at the top to create the hanging piece.

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies:
February stamp of the month
Frame
Burlap ribbon ( Z1760)
Button: stash
Stazon ink black (Z888)

The Everything ABC's blog hop letter C

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter C. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their C element will be featured in their post.

If you came from  Shalana~ Scrappin with Shalana then you're on the right track!

My "C" item is:

Coasters!

Now, I know you are thinking: didn't she just do coasters? Well, yes I did, but these are a little different. I have a friend (her name is Katt... HI Katt :-)! ) and she makes beautifully decorated tiles
using alcohol inks, and various other crafty items. I took her idea, and put my own spin on it. The tiles
are 4x4 tiles that are glazed. You can find these at any home improvement store.. I used a Tim Holtz
alcohol ink in Latte. I put the ink on a pad, and just smeared it around to get the swirley look. This dries fast, so you gotta work fast... Once that dried I got Stazon ink in black, and the beans stamped around the edges is from the stamp set Cup Of Cheer (B1404). The words are stamped in Black Stazon, and they are from stamp set Coffee Shop (D1159). To finish this off, and to make sure everything is set, I sprayed the tiles with a fixative spray.

Supplies:
4x4 glazed tiles from your local hardware store
Alcohol ink with applicator
Stazon ink Black
Cup Of Cheer stamp set (B1404 this is a current Close To My Heart stamp set)
Coffee Shop stamp set (D1159 I believe this to be a retired Close To My Heart Stamp set)
