For my card, I decided to use the circle spin card (Z1866). I used Frosted paper, on the
outside of the card and on the inside, but the opposite side. I inked the edges of the papers with Champagne ink (Z2174), as well as the sentiment. It's hard to see, but on the "i" in bright, there is a bitty bling (z1263). The lantern is stamped in black (Z2105) and the candle
light is colored with a color pencil.

Sorry for the way the picture is. I could not find my camera, so I used my cell phone to take the pic.

Supply list:
Frosted paper pack: X7175B
Circle spin card: Z1866
Champagne ink: Z2174
Black ink: Z2105

to make something with him for the longest time, and this was the perfect opportunity! I cut the back round out in chocolate card stock, and the feathers and face out with cashmere. the sentiment is from
a CTMH stamp set that is retired, and the sentiment is stamped in olive. The back round paper is also CTMH, from the retired paper pack Florentine.

The project I had intended to show you, just did not turn out, so I decided to make something from artiste that was kinda fun and cute. I cut this 3D object from letter b in Artiste. I was going too add embellishments, but I kinda liked they way it turned out :)

Independence Day

For the everything's ABC's hop click HERE

What ?!?!? Hope you weren't expecting to see Will Smith fighting the aliens here! We are actually featuring crafty creations showcasing "Independence Day" ... the holiday!

Not only are all of our creations going to be about Independence Day ... the holiday ... but they will also be using the Artiste and/or Art Philosophy Cricut cartridges available
through a Close to My Heart consultant. If you don't already have a Consultant that you are currently working with, please contact one of the Consultants in our hop with any questions you have!

In this hop, you will see projects featuring this versatile cartridges from many talented crafty ladies! Enjoy our blog hop!

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Lucy's blog – Love 2 Create . If you came from "Lucy ~ Love 2Create" then you are in the right place!

My Cricut cut is the star, cut from the cricut cartridge Art Philosophy. The star is the negative piece from the card that can be found on the letter "L". I used 3D foam tape to pop up the star, and I used the home of the brave stamp set.  (which is on special this month. You can find info on it here.). My daughter Alayna who is 4, helped choose the colors for the card. I asked her what color we should stamp the Statue Of Liberty in, and she chose lagoon. She has never actually seen the Statue Of Liberty, so it was kind of funny that she chose a color that resembles it. The flag pole is stamped in black, and my daughter Sidney chose the cranberry for the stars, and outdoor denim for the words. I had fun making this card with my daughters.

Your next stop on our Independence Day hop is "Michelle" of " My Flights of Fancy ".

My "L" project comes from the Art Philosophy cartridge. I decided to cut the card that is found on this letter. I cut the card using paper from the Claire paper pack. I decided not to use cardstock, but instead chose one of the patterned  papers for my card. I cut the card at 4". I am using the star that is in the center of the card for another project.

I decided to "bling" up my star with sparkles, to give it a little shine. I stamped on the inside a quote from the stamp set: Scrapbook Statements~Women.  The quote is from Dolly Parton, and it says: "If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain".

I covered one side with black card stock. The bow is cut from one of the Disney cricut carts, as are the shoes. I used glitter glitz around the bow to give it some sparkle. Our challenge this month features not only one of these amazing cartridges but we also have a Wedding theme. There are so many weddings this time of year! Do you have any weddings coming up?

I chose to redo this picture frame. It had a picture of my husband and myself on our wedding day. Our
kids had done a number on the frame, and I thought it could a little sprucing up.
I took black card stock and I raced the frame onto it. I cut out the image and used liquid glass to glue it to the frame. I used a sanding block to sand all of the edges, which gave the paper and aged look.  cut the Mr & Mrs  and the silver hearts (silver heart border is glitter paper) from the Artiste cartridge The flowers are cut from Art Philosophy.

Thanks for looking!

I had CTMH's Posh Journaling Spots, and I had my "J" item! I decided to use them for the front of my card. I used ruby card stock for the backround, and patterned paper from the For Always paper pack. The red flower was cut from ruby card stock using my Art Philosphy cricut cartridge. the saying is the zip strip from the top of one of the patterned papers. I layered it with ruby card stock. My "I" item is ink... in this case, three different colors. The card edges are inked in Indian corn blue, as well as both sentiments. The hot air balloon is inked using a rolling technique (place stamp on block, roll the edge of the stamp in one color, roll the center of the stamp in a 2nd color, and roll the other edge in the 3rd. I used Indian corn blue, Gypsy and Sky) The grey is CTMH, but I am unsure of which color. I wrapped baker's twine around the bottom and just tied it on. All items are from Close To My Heart, and are current.

Happy Mother's Day

Welcome to our April Art Philosophy/Artiste Blog Hop! As you know, both the Artiste and the Art Philosophy cartridges are available exclusively through a Close to My Heart consultant. If you don't already have a Consultant that you are currently working with, please contact one the Consultants in our hop with any questions you have!

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Lucy's blog – Love 2 Create  If you came from " Lucy's blog" – Love 2 Create then you are in the right place!

Our challenge this month features not only one of these amazing cartridges but we also have a Mother's Day theme since Mother's Day is less than a month away. Have you started your Mother's Day projects yet?

My project is this canvas scrapbook "page". I got the canvas at a scrapbook store a few years ago. It is 12x12, and it came with hanging hardware. I used Art philosophy to cut the back round (10 3/4), and Artiste to cut the flowers. The flowers range in size from 1 1/2 to 3 1/2. The colors of the flowers are black,
lagoon and ruby card stock. The letters are glitter "thickers" stickers which I apparently applied crooked :-)
The other elements are rub ons from my stash, and in the center of the rub ons are sparkles. I plan to put
a photo of each of my girls on here, but I have not quite decided which photo, or if I am going to use one photo with both of them in it. I hope you enjoy my project, and that it will inspire you to create a Mother's
Day gift for your loved one.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Amber's blog ~ Scrapper's Therapy

If you came from Shelly ~ Just One Piece then you're on the right track!

For my project for the letter "H" I chose the word Hero. This is a photo of my father taken in September
2008, at Crater Lake, Oregon. My father was a hero to me, even though I don't think realized it. My father chose to leave us to early, but he will always be my hero. This is the 1st time since he has passed that I have been able to create any kind of project with a picture of him in it. I apologize for the reflection of my head in the glass :). The frame is from either Michaels or the Dollar store, I can't remember which. The paper is from the Victory paper pack from ctmh (retired) the sparkles flourishes (Z1708) frame opposite corners of each other, and the ribbon is ctmh (retired). Also used, Durables artisan studs (Z1816). For the flowers, I cut them on the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge at 1 1/2,  2  1/4, and 3.

My Sunshine

Welcome to our April Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! This month's stamp from Close to My Heart is "My Sunshine" and is available exclusively through your Close to My Heart consultant from April 1 - 30, 2013. You can purchase this stamp set for only $5 with a qualifying purchase.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Lucy's blog – Love 2 Create  If you came from  Jennifer of  4 Hearts Scrapbooking then you are in the right place!

For my project, I got my inspiration from the site splitcoast stampers. The technique
I used is called "bargello" and you can find a link for it HERE. For
my card, I decided to use the Chantilly paper pack. I thought that the
theme of the stamp set went well with the paper.

Select your patterned paper, and cut it a 3/4" x 6. Once you have done that, line them up on your 5x6 cut it a 3/4" x 6. Once you have done that, line them up on your 5x6 piece of card
stock in a pattern that you like, and adhere them down. Then cut pieces at 1/2"
    and 5/8".

     Adhere these to a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of card stock, in a staggered manner,
creating a pattern. Adhere the strips. Trim the edges that may be over hanging,
then trim the whole thing down to 4 x 5 1/2.

For the bird, I stamp it in Twilight, and fussy (hand) cut him out. I could have used
my Artiste cartridge (pg 51, cut @ 1 1/2) to cut him out, but I wanted his wing left in.
For the sun, I cut it on the Artiste cart @ 3 1/2 inches. I stamped the sun in Sunny Yellow (retired)
and glued ot to the base. The white rectangle is cut at 2 1/2 x 3 3/4, and is popped up. The sun center
is also stamped in Sunny yellow. You're tweet is stamped in Twilight.
